Jitsu Licensing
The Jitsu licensing model follows a similar pattern to the model established by Mono. See their FAQ on licensing for more details.

-
The Jitsu Runtime is licensed under the MIT License (also known as the X11 License). This is a permissive license, allowing you use of the Jitsu Runtime in commercial software.
-
The Jitsu Compiler (needed only to build Jitsu applications) is licensed under the GNU General Public License. This is a "copyleft" license that promotes open source contributions to the compiler technology.
Contributor License Agreements
We are in the process of setting up a contributor license agreement to clearly define the terms under which intellectual property is contributed to Jitsu and thereby allow us to defend the project should there be a legal dispute regarding the software at some future time.
